Renew The Wineskin
And He was also telling them a parable: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and puts it on an old garment; otherwise he will both tear the new, and the piece from the new will not match the old. “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined. “But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins.“ And no one, after drinking old wine wishes for new; for he says, ‘The old is good enough.’” Luke 5:36-39
Prior to pooring His valuable Spirit into His people, Father has to renew or change their old behaviors, thoughts, and actions ... "Transform by the renewing of their minds" Romans 12:2.
Christians must release themselves in the areas of which they have conformed to "mans" ways or "institutionalized" methods of practice (both leadership and congregation).
I have been praying for Father to renew my wineskin. In context of the church, I have been praying for Father to help the leaders and body to allow Him to renew their wineskins. He can not manifest His offices or power in a person or church not willing to get completly rid of the old. Part of the transformation/ sanctification process. That can become a stronghold that will inhibit progress in the transformation.
Pray for Father to renew your wineskin. Then pray for Father to renew the wineskins of elders, pastors and congregations across this nation. This way we, His Church will be able to manifest the offices as well as gifts Father intends for each of us to practice.
