Live Out Your Faith

Image
Man, I can say my faith has certainly been stretched in so many ways over the past year and a half.  Thank God for the many times in my and Jodiann's past He stretched us beyond the level of faith we had at those times. Each preparing us for the next acting as stepping stones.  A body builder isn't born with the bulging muscles of which even under clothing can be seen. It takes hard work, pouring out of sweet sand tears , years of discipline and sacrifice to get to that level of strength. Just the presence of one of such stature can command respect as if projecting an aura of strength.  Imagine the aura Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus, and the disciples projected. Is every believer to do so?  Your and my faith opportunities provide us opportunity to "build" our strength in our faith in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, stretching each beyond his own abilities. Why?  People watch and listen not only to what was said in the present but for the reward as well. If God fulfills accor

The Challenge of Being Transformed

Image
Transformation is a challenging journey. A very vulnerable position! Choose wisely your counsel when choosing from man! "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work" — 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV). "Casting all your anxieties on him because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world." 1 Peter 5:7-9. "And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their actions." 2 Corinthians 11:14-15. In this process of being transformed, we confront those influences,

SIGNIFICANCE

Christ was concerned whether people received Him but His identity was not dependent on it. Christ had the most critical component of His significance, His relationship with His Father. Christ knew that in order to fulfill His responsibility He must maintain His relationship with His Father in order to sustain His purpose here on Earth; RESCUE, RESUSCITATE, RESTORE a lost, thirsty, hungry, injured, dying population suffocating being slaughtered because of the selfish will of man. Christ had to gain access to those lost, in  the storm. Access that only provided one way in and one way out. You see, His only alternative was that of which He taught others, a very narrow path, death.  Christ was a physician highly trained in technical rescue. He specialized in Fire Suppression, Advanced Life Support, Trauma Life Support, Confined Space Rescue, Swift Water Rescue, Extrication, Haz Mat, High Angle Rescue, and Trench Rescue.  Christ was and still is the Operations Chief of Heavens Special Opera

Be Present

Have you ever felt alone in this world? Maybe the newbie in a new job or moved to a new community?  Have you been out and about running errands and receive and unexpected greeting or gesture of kindness from a perfect stranger?  I certainly have.  How did that make you feel?  If you are like me, your sense of  loneliness departed you if only for a moment. Why do you think? You were recognized. You didn't do anything to receive the gesture other than "being present". What a powerful gesture of kindness!  Be present in a stranger's life. Bless someone today. Smile, look at a stranger in the eye and say hello.  It's the little things that you do that open people up. Jesus didn't know a stranger. He engaged others. So should we. "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20 ESV

Responding To The Call

Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I need Him!

I have gained much wisdom at the grace of Father.   I still need Him!  When swept into the torrent of life, when all I really wanted was a taste of it's water I need Him!  When I turned Left but meant to go right I need Him!  When trying to walk away and the Devil pics a fight  I need Him!  When I look in the mirror and then turn in the light  I need Him!  When my heart is heavy because I'm lost in the Forrest of doubt  I need Him!  When living in this world and there is nowhere to escape and I'm ready to step out  I need Him!  At the moment I realize I can no longer live for myself and there a purpose to my being when I've been blinded by the darkness and His eyes give me sight which is beyond my comprehension, or my own ability of seeing I found Him! I love Him! I know Him! I grow in Him!  I NEED HIM!
