Surrender

Surrender A slave can not establish his/her identity. Only the master can. Why? The slave is not entitled to ownership. Christ establishes our identity through Him. -Clint "For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,  and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him." Romans 8:6-9 NASB

Is God moving His blood through you?

The cardiac output is simply the amount of blood pumped by the heart per minute. Necessarily, the cardiac output is the product of the heart rate, which is the number of beats per minute, and the stroke volume, which is amount pumped per beat. CO = HR X SV. The cardiac output is usually expressed in liters/minute. What is the condition of your heart? Is Jesus Christ of Nazareth living His will through you? Galatians 2:20. Jeremiah 29:13 teaches that in order to know God's plan for me, I  must surrender all of my heart. My heart is what sustains my life. He was resurrected to resuscitate my heart back to the Father. Then He can live through me. If my will contradicts His will, I inhibit His "flow" through me. Disease inhibits the heart to function to the potential of it's design. If I desire to be available to Christ, I must desire to allow Him to produce the "new" creation in me. Then I am available to "reproduce" in others what He produced i...

Our Sin - The Ultimate Question - Part 2

Our Sin - The Ultimate Question - Part 2 : Sin comes from our desire to act independently of God. If we are going to have a healthy relationship with Him, we must accept His leadership and direction. Discover the consequences of ignoring the Lord’s guidance and the blessings of walking in His will.

Do you have a Christian World View?

Do you have a biblical worldview? Answer the following questions, based on claims found in the Bible and which George Barna used in his survey: Do absolute moral truths exist? Is absolute truth defined by the Bible? Did Jesus Christ live a sinless life? Is God the all-powerful and all-knowing Creator of the universe, and does He still rule it today? Is salvation a gift from God that cannot be earned? Is Satan real? Does a Christian have a responsibility to share his or her faith in Christ with other people? Is the Bible accurate in all of its teachings? Did you answer yes to these? Only 9 percent of "born- again" believers did. But what's more important than your yes to these questions is whether your life shows it. Granted, we are all sinners and fall short, but most of our gut reactions will reflect what we deep-down, honest-to-goodness believe to be real and true. The MATH of a Disciple

So, what is our job as Christains? Make disciples (Matt 28:19-20). How do I do my job? Apply the two great commandments (Matt 22:37-40). Math is applied. In Ephesians 3:18 we see God is dementional ( height, depth, and width). We are not to just tell others to Jesus Christs love. We are to help them get to know Him. Another math is applied God = Father+Son+ Holy Spirit. One more: I - myself = Nothing. Jeremiah 10:23, "I know, O Lord , that a man's way is not in himself, Nor is it in a man who walks to direct his steps."

Be an EXPLORER of God

Curiosity is a natural instict of man. To desire knowledge must include the desire to apply that knowledge to life.  Integrity is the discipline to practice without self interpretation. A life undisciplined interferes with the attempt to display truth. The desire to understand should never be quenched.  Curiosity is not what "killed the cat". It  was the subject matter of which the  cat was curious that lead to it's demise. The will to identify the unknown has with it an element of fear, the natural human emotion built into us that acts as a "security" agent protecting you and me from an arguably vulnerable position, our sense of control. Ephesians 3:18-19 describes that God is dementional. He desires us to know the height, width, and depth of His love. Be bold! Explore the deepth, width, and height of God. Swim into the depth of His word. Climb the height of His ordinances, view the width of His glory. The knowledge and understanding you obtain throug...

Identity Crisis

Ever wonder why so many churches are still "branding" themselves? Today's institutional church seems so much like big business....because it is. Too much disunity in the form of denominations and nondenominational brands "competiting" for your "business"... attendence and tithe. Obviously, the bigger you are, the richer you are must mean your doing something right....Right? Just because a brand is popular does not mean it's quality will endure. Truth be told, the church in the western culture is not growing. Why? At large...no evidence of God's presence (fruit) within most of those attending and those leading. What happens when consumers no longer find what they are seeking from a local retailer?   They leave! Well, back in the day, most individuals had to rely on the discipline of God (i.e. LABOR ) to have provisions to live. No retailer or government  as we know today to go and "conveniently" buy or receive from. Same goes...
