Stand for the Kingdom of God!

"Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and so lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace." Jas 3:13‭-‬18 NASB The "religious spirit" is identified above; the heart of bitter jealousy, selfish ambition, arrogant which lies against the truth is not what comes from above but from earth, natural and demonic,  ( For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the de...

Spiritual CPR

Image
"For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite." Isaiah 57:15 In order for one to resuscitate the heart of an individual using CPR, one must be trained on how to provide such a gift  John 15:13 . Even if I am trained or "empowered" to do so, if I am not available to provide the gift, and do so competently, than I am useless.  James 1

Renew The Wineskin

And He was also telling them a parable: “No one tears a piece of cloth from a new garment and puts it on an old garment; otherwise he will both tear the new, and the piece from the new will not match the old. “And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined. “But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins.“ And no one, after drinking old wine wishes for new; for he says, ‘The old is good enough.’” Luke 5:36-39 Prior to pooring His valuable Spirit into His people, Father has to renew or change their old behaviors, thoughts, and actions ...  "Transform by the renewing of their minds" Romans 12:2. Christians must release themselves in the areas of which they have conformed to "mans" ways or "institutionalized" methods of practice (both leadership and congregation).  I have been praying for Father to renew my wineskin. In context of the church, I have been pr...

Does God Control Your Life?

Image
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight". Proverbs 3:5-6 As we mature in our walk with God, we  gain knowledge because we are spending time with Him in His word.As we grow, we begin to understand our identity. As His children, we desire to see God's truths available to others so we begin to reach out and go "fishing" fulfilling His commission for us. We love as He does, living according to the two great commandments. This practicing the faith opens our minds, renewing the way we think. This gets us into alignment with Father's sovereign will, His perfect will. Guess what? Transformation is taking place. As we grow closer, our "free will" should diminish to the point if being nonexistent due to our will being occupied by Father's sovereignty, or complete control of us, mind, body, and Spirit. We begin to understand that e...

Knowledge + Practice = Understanding

Image
Jesus died obeying His Father. He surrendered His right to live so you and I may live eternally with our Father in heaven. His death displayed the sacrifice we are to live in order to be fulfilled in Him and He in us. Your and my desire for Him should exceed desire for self even if it costs our lives. That is what He ment when He spoke the parable about the bondslave. Intimate relationship with the Father requires intimate knowledge, practice, and understanding. Know who you are in the body of Christ. Know your anointing, practice it, and you will understand it. Do not covet any other members role. Serve your assignment with all your heart. Christ did for you.

Receive your Inheritance

Image
Those who are in Christ have been promised to inherit their place in the Kingdom of God, "to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me" (Acts 26:18). What about our inheritance of His role in the family business? We each have also inherited the responsibility of furthering the Kingdom through our commission (Matthew 28:19-20).  By commissioning us, Christ empowered us to work under the Kingdom authority as He did through the order of Melchizedek. Your inheritance requires you to fulfill your responsibility. So many want the blessing of the inheritance but so few are willing to obey the qualifications of receiving it.

Bridge The Gap

Image
In Matthew 28 vs 19-20 we see that Christ commissions anyone who professes his name to make disciples. In Matthew chapter 22:37-40 he indicates to live according to these two great commandments loving by God with all my heart mind and soul and loving thy neighbor as thyself. Understanding that Christ came from the order of Melchizedek,  John the Baptist in his act of baptizing Christ surrendered the Levitical order to the order of Melchizedek. Through this action in the natural, Christ's was identified both as high priest and King in the supernatural God then opened up the heavens and identified Christ as his one and only begotten Son. Christs came to establish a church, not an institution. A body of believers who surrendered and submitted to him mind body and spirit. Anyone who professes Christ name must understand what he or she is stepping into. A life surrendered and submitted to the Father living out of a life of a bond slave, giving up the rights to self so to fulfil...

Are you surrendered and available?

This is a picture of a control panel of a firetruck. The engineer determines which lever to pull based on use of that valve and which volume of flow and direction to flow he needs. If God is the engineer of your life and you are His vessel, does He have control of your life so to direct His living water through you? Just a thought.

Open doors

Every once and a while I will look at the statistics identifying how many hits the site has obtained and from where. These numbers and places vary from month to month. Never underestimate your significance in Christ or your influence. I realize these numbers only reflex those that come across Responding to the Call (RTC) while looking for another site. At least there is exposure. To date, since the onset of this blog I have had over thirteen thousand hits. Not sure what it means, if anything. Praying that someone may see something within this material to spark a curiosity or change of heart back toward God. Pray for this ministry. Doors are opening in Ghana and Nairobi to maybe partner in ministries training up trainers. Those who will go and "grow" the body (church). A Path Toward Righteousness

The path toward righteousness provides opportunity for me to be trasformed to the likeness of Christ's, sinless. Free from the bondage of a fallen world. Why do I still sin? I choose to. Why do I choose to? To satisfy my flesh, to fit in with the crowd, or any other numerous reasons I may try to justify.  Who is in control? Me or God? Transformation is a process of which I learn why, what, and how I must surrender my "rights" to my Father, God. I am responsible for my choices and actions. Is fulfillment is Christ impossible? No. In Christ, am I identified by God as a dirty rag? No. I am made pure through Christ. He washed away my right to guilt and shame on the cross. I am His prize. Ephesians 5:3,4 identifies how I am to reflect the immage of Christ to myself and the world. I fall short at times. I do not excuse my failure, I confess it to myself, a brother I can confide in and my Father.I must understand the root or link that caused my weakness and with God'...

A Prayer for You

"I pray for you constantly, asking God , the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead. (Ephesians 1: 16-20,"

Proceed with CAUTION

I pray this next year you will continue in the quest God has bestowed upon you. Your relationship with Him is key. Allow Him to continue to transform you. Be careful who you allow in your camp. Watch for the enemy! Hold your position. Rely on God's supernatural power to provide you the strength you need to do His work. Be bold! Do not allow the tricks of the enemy seperate you from the Fathers presence. Keep your armor on. Know it's usefulness and power. Be prepared to render aid when needed. Decern those who seek your help. The enemy is deceitful. What appears worthy of your aid may not be. May be a weapon of the enemy to plant a vessel of destruction. Know your assignment.  Serve it well. Do not envy the works of others. Trust our Father's will for you. His strategies and tactics are not your own.. Knowing His plan is key. Fulfilling your assignment is vital to the success of His plan. Remediate, remediate, remediate. Practice makes perfect. Preparation is vital...

Plug into God

Scripture describes God as being a jealous god, "for you shall not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God" Exodus 34:14. This description provides you and me the benefit of understanding God's desire for us. Unlike pegan gods, God desires for us to belong to Him. So much that He sent His son Jesus Christ to die as a sacrificial payment for your and my adoption into His family. How do I fit in to the family? I must connect. Spend time with the Father. Well, like any responsible family member, I must fulfill my responsibility. Also, I must accept the words of my Father as infallable. As a loving, trusting, and obedient child. In Mathew 28: 19,20, 22:37-40, I learn of that responsibility. An invitation to connect with my Father, go fishing. One of the favorite past times known to man to build loving bonds, Fishing, "And He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:14. Are you available? Is you...
