Joy

"Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart". Psalm 119:111 "Joy can not be hidden. Why? It isn't something to be found. It's not the outcome if a good condition but the evidence if good conditioning." Clint

Cornerstone

Image
"Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, A costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed. I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the level." Isaiah 28:16-17 NASB "Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious cornerstone, and he who believes in Him will not be disappointed." 1Peter 2:6 NASB "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and My burden is light." Mathew 11:28-30 What is the purpose of the cornerstone? Isaiah prophesied it, and the disciples witnessed it; Jesus Christ of Nazareth is the "cornerstone" of the Church. A cornerstone is a part of the foundation that establishes strength and a level line or plumb line for the rest of the building. Being level is essential in any building stru

Fertilizer Not Crap!

"As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive." Genesis 50:20 NASB I woke thinking of my prayers yesterday morning. I wondered how is it I'm being used by God let alone even being considered for use by Him? I've made poor decisions in my life that lead to regrettable actions against my deeply held conviction of faith in God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I've had a brief separation from Him in the past. Painful!  Bear with me. The thought of crap came to mind. How can my crap, wasted actions, thoughts, etc be used as scripture suggests in Genesis 50?  Animal waste, even human waste has a useful purpose. It can be used as fuel to cook with:  1) "You shall eat it as a barley cake, having baked it in their sight over human dung." ” Then He said to me, “See, I will give you cow’s dung in place of human dung over which you will prepare your bread.” Ezekiel 4:12‭, ‬1

I Will Sing of Your Strength

Good morning.  "But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your loving kindness in the morning, For You have been my stronghold And a refuge in the day of my distress." Psalms 59:16 NASB I must admit, my walk has been challenging recently. I find my mind leaning into the "fear" of the unknown and causing me to want to "control" those things which I am to "hand over" to Father.  Mind you, those thoughts are confronted by scripture such as above. His words reassure me and lead me into peace.  It's in "the singing of His strength", testimony, that I exude my faith and trust in Him. I can share my "heart of hearts" of my true posture, complete desire for His control.  Father, help me to sing of your faith, so to express my trust in you. Continue to help me to confront the enemy at each attempt he makes to mislead my thoughts to deny me of the truth of your strength.  I need you LORD!  ©Clint F

Are You Ready?

Christ came to model the life of which He would teach us to live. His first action was the submission and surrender to His Father’s will. In that, Christ gave up His rights, His deity, His will. Why? So the Father could fulfill His purpose through Christ. Only through a truly surrendered and submitted heart can God fulfill Himself through His vessel, you and me. As God leads, we go. As we go, He is there to do His work by His Spirit manifesting Himself in us. In the book of Jeremiah, God describes His desire to fulfill Himself in and through Jeremiah.  Jeremiah's responsibility was to align himself with God's plan. How? By trusting in God. Trust is key!  God explained to Jeremiah that only by seeking Him with his whole heart, could he find God. ( Jeremiah 29:11-14 ) God’s plan, or path is ever winding, blazing through a terrain not suited for man alone. We live in a fallen world, born behind enemy lines instructed to “raise God’s banner” in the middle of the enemies camp. W

SURRENDER

Let your river flow Father. Bring me into the depths of you. Let me drink from the purity of your truth.  Poor over me today so to capture my heart with utmost trust in that which runs from the spring of your mighty hands.  May your living water awaken me, renewing my strength in obedient service to you and those you place before me.  Rinse away any impurity that may infect my mind, heart, or body, debilitating me from your sanctification. May I go forth in relationship with you,  identified as your own, valued as evidenced by your unconditional love, purposed by your ordination, responsible surrendered through humility, submitted by choice, obedient to your call.  -Clint Fleming "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:2 NASB "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father

Protect Your Mind

Hello.  How does that saying go, "Another day, another dollar"?   Some days it just seems like our only purpose in life is to "keep the lights on and mouths fed".  No matter how true the contrary, it's hard not to fall into that mindset. "For I know the plans I have for you..." Jeremiah 29:11-14.  How do you and I participate in His plan being responsible to the "surrender" John 3:30, Jeremiah 10:23 and the "doing" James 1:22? As I write this, and I imagine as your read, those concerns, decisions, or circumstances of life waylay in the mind. Like trying to balance oneself on a teeter totter, one step too far to one side, your off balance and risk a fall. No, not that the fall would necessarily cause injury, but may lead to doubt, either in yourself, God, or both. Walking the path of His plan may seem at times, like walking a tight rope. Each step you take, your body flails to maintain balance. Ever watch a tight rope walker?

Moving Mountains

When does God move mountains in your life? When you trust in His coordinates and put on your hiking boots.  Jeremiah 29:11-14 -Clint
