Love Thy Neighbor

Philippians 2:3-4 "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others."

In the passage above, Paul is writing to the people of Philippi teaching them how to live out their new faith....live like Christ.  We see in the preceding verses, Paul is suggesting that if there is any evidence of your salvation (surrender and submission to God(Father, Son, Spirit), than here is what you do to put your faith to practice...LOVE.  Not love the way man has defined it, but, love in the way God has defined it and how Christ exemplified it.

God loves you. Interesting that so many may obtain a glimpse of that understanding, but because of man's poor representation, fall short of "complete" understanding.  Well, GOD DOES LOVE YOU and wants to be a part of your life.  Not only does He want to be a part of your life, He wants you to reveal His desires for others through a "genuine" representation. Remember not to get caught up in guilt or shame..."we all fall short". Accept Christ and receive His forgiveness.

As a clinical instructor , I have the opportunity to help paramedic students take their book knowledge, digest it, and put it into practice. James 1:21-22 instructs us to not just be hearers of the word of God, but doers also.  I understand that more clearly in my practice.  It is at that point when I have the word in our mind and are putting it into practice that I have a sense of completeness. I mean that I get it. Not only that, but I experience Christ presence in mind, body, and spirit. WOW! What a concept.  I get to reciprocate His love for me by accepting Him at His word (Bible), living it, and giving it away(the first great commandment). Intimacy.

Through an intimate relationship with Christ I have the knowledge, skill, and desire to...Respond to the Call.
